Before joining the Uganda team, Ayoreka Mary Concepta developed extensive experience as a public and environmental health professional across local government, academia, and civil society organisations. She has led and supported initiatives in water and sanitation, infection prevention and control (IPC), behaviour change communication, public health education, and community-based health interventions.

Cherry Kusemererwa is an accomplished finance and operations professional with over 20 years of experience shaping financial strategy, operational excellence, and organisational growth across the non-profit sector. Her expertise spans development programmes in health, education, and livelihoods, where she has successfully managed complex financial portfolios, strengthened operational systems, and supported the delivery of impactful development initiatives.

Martin Watsisi joined the Uganda team to work in the public service space linking policy to practice, identifying gaps that need innovative ways to fill. Martin has spent the last years attempting to connect institutional capacities to improve providing services to grassroots in a way that makes people not only survive but thrive.  

During nine years as District Water Officer and District Engineer in Kisoro, Wilbrord Turimaso learned firsthand that district water coverage can jump from 28% to 65%, not just by building infrastructure, but by also fixing the management and operational systems behind it.

Before joining Riva Uganda, Moses spent over fifteen years helping governments, civil society organisations and development partners strengthen how they measure results, learn from evidence and improve development programmes. Working across Uganda's water and sanitation, governance, education, health and livelihoods sectors, he built a reputation for translating complex data into practical decisions that improve people's lives.

Bénigne Mugwaneza Ishimwe began her working life telling stories – as a youth radio journalist in Rwanda, interviewing, listening well, and translating complex ideas for an audience. That early instinct for how communication shapes understanding has never left her. It runs through everything she has done since: facilitation, stakeholder engagement, governance coordination, and now the leadership of the Riva Network's secretariat at a pivotal moment in its evolution.
